However, for this price target to become realistic, Hyperliquid needs strong growth.

The platform currently generates about $843 million in annualized revenue, but this would need to rise to around $1.4 billion to justify such a valuation.

As of this writing, PIPPIN traded at $0.36, up 8.41% on the daily charts. This price hike was backed by a 72% increase in trading volume, reflecting renewed market momentum.

After the broader market signaled a rebound, PIPPIN saw renewed interest across all market participants. While some buyers stepped in and defended key levels at $0.3, others positioned themselves, awaiting a major move. 

Moreover, demand for Futures positions rose significantly. According to CoinGlass data, Derivatives Volume rose 146% to $471 million, while Open Interest rose 11% to $96 million. 

Typically, such a jump in OI and volume indicated increased participation and capital inflows into either short or long positions. In fact, over $156 million flowed into the derivatives market over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Long/Short Ratio on Binance and Bybit jumped to 1.19, with longs accounting for 54% and shorts for 45.6%.

When this ratio holds above 1, it suggests that most market participants were bullish and took long positions. 

However, on Binance alone, the long-short account ratio has remained around 0.92, indicating market indifference toward the next move.

Why does sideways movement persist?

PIPPIN failed to break out of the current range as holders and traders jumped in and cashed out. In fact, selling pressure skyrocketed significantly after the memecoin rose above $0.36.

Looking at momentum indicators, they point towards strong downside momentum. For starters, the memecoin’s Stochastic RSI, despite a bullish crossover, remained deeply oversold.

At press time, this indicator sat around 4.9, indicating that a seller-driven downside momentum is dominant in the market.

Stablecoin market dynamics

According to the Cambridge Digital Money Dashboard, the total supply of stablecoins reached nearly $270 billion by the 10th of March.

This is a huge jump compared to 2019, when stablecoins were still small and not widely used.

While USDT still holds the largest share of the stablecoin market, USDC is also putting pressure on USDT’s market dominance.

This coincided with the monthly Stablecoin Transaction Volume by Stablecoin, crossing $1.7 trillion as per Visa on-chain analytics data.

Therefore, for institutions like Aon, the decision between stablecoins comes down to transaction speed and network scalability.

Execs weighing in

Remarking on the same, Tim Fletcher, CEO of Aon’s financial services group, said, 

“By building real-world understanding of stablecoins early, we are strengthening our ability to advise on risk, governance and resilience as digital finance evolves.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Brett Tejpaul, Co-CEO of Coinbase Institutional, added, 

“By settling insurance premiums using stablecoins, including USDC, we are helping Aon scale their financial operations with speed, transparency, and scalable institutional-grade infrastructure.”

Aon’s experiment is important because it shows how stablecoin payments can work across different blockchains.

The transactions using USDC on Ethereum [ETH] and PayPal USD (PYUSD) on Solana [SOL] highlight that institutions are becoming more comfortable using faster and scalable blockchain networks.

Did the GENIUS Act play a role here?

Needless to say, the GENIUS Act of 2025 has made this flexibility increasingly important by introducing clearer federal rules for using stablecoins in financial operations.

With greater regulatory clarity, large brokers like Aon can now link their advisory services directly with blockchain-based payment systems.

However, while Western institutions are beginning to adopt stablecoins, the situation looks very different in parts of Asia.

In South Korea, the Financial Services Commission (FSC) is reportedly considering a ban on U.S. dollar–based stablecoins such as USDT and USDC in its upcoming corporate trading rules.

Therefore, as stablecoins continue to grow in 2026, their success depends not only on technology but also on whether regulators globally can agree on how to define and regulate digital money.

Investors favor these altcoins because their growth is tied to actual network usage rather than just sentiment. When more people use the network to send payments or trade assets, the demand for the underlying token naturally increases. This creates a predictable and sustainable model for growth that traditional financial institutions find much more attractive than purely speculative tokens.

The Shift Toward Specialized Liquidity

In Q1 2026, the market’s attention is narrowing even further toward specialized utility protocols that solve specific financial friction points. While ETH and BNB provide the broad infrastructure, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is building the specialized tools needed for automated liquidity.

Within the testnet environment, users can check the mtToken system, which acts as an interest-bearing receipt for lenders, and the Debt Token system, which tracks loans with full transparency. 

This allows participants to see exactly how their capital grows through automated interest distribution and how the protocol’s Safe-Mode Borrow Presets simplify risk management. The long-term outlook for these utility leaders is defined by massive technical upgrades. Ethereum is moving toward its “Glamsterdam” hard fork, which aims to significantly increase transaction capacity and lower costs for users. BNB Chain has outlined its 2026 Tech Roadmap, targeting a staggering 20,000 transactions per second to support high-frequency trading. 

Meanwhile, Mutuum Finance is advancing its decentralized liquidity model by developing a dual-market architecture that balances speed with flexibility. The Peer-to-Contract (P2C) market uses automated liquidity pools to offer instant loans with interest rates that adjust dynamically based on market demand. In contrast, the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) marketplace allows lenders and borrowers to negotiate their own custom terms directly, making it ideal for unique or less liquid assets (DOGE, SHIB) that require specific agreements.

To support the protocol’s long-term health, the roadmap includes a buy-and-distribute mechanism tied to actual platform usage. A portion of the fees generated from every loan and deposit is used to purchase MUTM tokens from the open market.
