Ethereum Developer to Reallocate Unclaimed DAO Hack Funds

Ethereum developer Griff Green announced plans to reallocate unclaimed funds from the 2016 DAO hack to establish TheDAO Security Fund, aimed at enhancing Ethereum ecosystem security. Approximately 20% of the original compensation funds, initially around $6 million and now valued at about $200 million, remain unclaimed. This includes roughly 70,500 ETH and some ETH and DAO tokens. These assets will be staked, with the generated yields funding security-related projects, in collaboration with the Ethereum Foundation’s “Trillion Dollar Security” initiative.
