Trump Considers 25% Tariff on South Korean Goods

President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. is considering increasing tariffs on South Korean goods from 15% to 25% due to South Korea’s parliament not yet ratifying a trade agreement reached last year. The proposed tariff hike would affect sectors including automobiles, timber, and pharmaceuticals. Trump has also issued tariff threats to other countries, including a potential 100% tariff on Canadian products if Canada reaches a trade deal with China, and new tariffs on European goods. Additionally, he mentioned imposing tariffs on countries trading with Iran, although these threats have not yet been implemented.
