Trump and NATO Discuss Greenland, Tariffs Paused
President Donald J. Trump announced that he has held discussions with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding Greenland and broader Arctic region issues. The talks have resulted in a preliminary framework for a future agreement. As a result of this progress, the tariff measures initially set to take effect on February 1 will be temporarily suspended. Further negotiations concerning the “Golden Dome” matter in Greenland are expected to continue.
