NVIDIA CEO Hints at Final $3 Billion Investment in OpenAI

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced that the company’s recent $3 billion investment in OpenAI might be its last, as OpenAI considers going public by the end of the year. Speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference, Huang expressed doubt about future opportunities to invest $100 billion in OpenAI, highlighting the significance of this investment.

Huang also mentioned that NVIDIA’s $10 billion investment in Anthropic, an OpenAI competitor, could be the last of its kind. He emphasized the growing revenue from AI computing power for businesses, including major data center operators like Microsoft. Huang noted that increased computing capacity could significantly boost revenue growth, and predicted that automation design software providers such as Cadence and Synopsys will gain importance in the future.
