U.S. and Taiwan Sign Trade Deal, Reduce Tariffs

The United States and Taiwan have signed a significant trade agreement, reducing tariffs to 15% on goods exchanged between the two regions. As part of the deal, Taiwan has committed to removing 99% of trade barriers on U.S. products. Additionally, Taiwan will purchase $84 billion worth of American goods, marking a substantial boost in bilateral trade relations.
