Metaplanet Targets 1% Bitcoin Supply by 2027

Japanese Bitcoin treasury firm Metaplanet has disclosed its fiscal year 2025 financial results, revealing it holds 35,102 BTC, making it Japan’s largest Bitcoin holder. This amount represents approximately 0.16% of the global Bitcoin supply, placing Metaplanet fourth among public companies worldwide in Bitcoin holdings. The company aims to control 1% of the global Bitcoin supply by 2027, focusing on its “Bitcoin Revenue Business” to drive profit growth.

Metaplanet reported a significant financial performance for 2025, with revenue reaching ¥8.905 billion, marking a 738.3% increase from the previous year. Operating profit soared by 1,694.5% year-over-year, totaling ¥6.287 billion, underscoring the company’s robust growth strategy.
