Senators Call for CFIUS Review of $500M Trump-Linked Deal

U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Andy Kim have called on Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to assess whether a recent $500 million investment should undergo a national security review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). The senators have requested a response by March 5 on whether the transaction has been reviewed and if any recommendations have been made to the President.

The investment in question involves Aryam Investment 1, a G42-related entity, which acquired a 49% stake in a project in January 2025. The transaction documents were reportedly signed by Eric Trump, with some funds directed to entities associated with the Trump and Steve Witkoff families.
