Tether Expands Investment and Workforce Amid Strategic Shift
Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin issuer, is accelerating its investment and organizational expansion as it transitions from a “crypto financial infrastructure provider” to a comprehensive group centered on the concept of “freedom.” The company currently manages a portfolio of approximately 140 assets and employs around 300 people. Over the next 18 months, Tether plans to hire an additional 150 staff, focusing on roles such as engineers, AI film creators, venture capital positions, and multi-country compliance officers.
In a move to enhance corporate governance and financial discipline, Tether has appointed Simon McWilliams as the new CFO. The company is centralizing its financial and operational management in London under his leadership.
